BF2 Upgrade question

Im presently running an XP2700(333)cpu, 1.5 Gigs of crucial 2700 ram, leadtek 6800, im just not getting the smoothness i want, if i upgrade to a xp3000(400), 2Gigs of 3200 ram, and keep the card would i see a noticable improvement?

 
We have nearly identical rigs. Ours:

XP 2700+
1.5 gigs PC-3200
9800 Pro (6800NU on the way)

BF2 runs fine for us. IMHO, the upgrade you're contemplating isn't worth it.
 
u only need 1GB of ram in this game. benchmarks showed that anything mroe made no difference. make sure u keep AA off, and all the lighting options to medium or lower (they make a big difference). if u have an LCD make sure u run the game in 1280 with AA off, u won't get that many jaggies.
