BF2-SF screens

btw, the game is buggy, performance is terrible, I'm talking nearly 50% of what I get in reg. Bf2... truly disappointed, and whats worse is they have a trailers saying "Everything you are about to see is 100% in game footage"


Not true...it's a pre-done video and my graphics def. look worse than they do
 
LoL as i predicted about EA and the expansion. Everyone is saying that this will fix everything and give everything fans have been asking for. As for the trailers, it was obvious that it wasnt in game if you played the original BF2
 
Actually everyone saw this coming....read the review at gamespot they said its full of buggs like we have been saying. This whole forum has been against purchasing SF due to the many unfixed buggs in bf2 still.
 
Yeah... EA can GF itself.... this was a total waste of money as far as I'm concerned. The new patch introduced MORE bugs, I cannot run the X-Fi setting in sound anymore, and the expansion pack is heinously bad
 
I am not saying that the original BF2 is any good, well it's a fun game.. but there are something wrong with pretty much everything, and the expansion is just making matters worse plus I don't think the expansion is that much "fun" either.
 
I downloaded it last night. Didnt play much, just tested out the new grapple and line.

What I like most about it is, it has a much bigger focus on infantry. I enjoy planes and choppers, but some maps have way too many. SP doesnt have near the amount. Also, the new flashbangs are pretty fun to throw.. and night vision is great. 🙂

edit, I got the same error as you did when I tried to install it. I dont have my games installed on C:\, but that didnt matter to it.. Had to make some space on C:\, to install it on D:\. Annoying, but oh well, it worked and now Im playing.
 
I actually had to end up reformatting both my HDDs just to make room on the C: drive which I no longer have partitioned as a system drive w/ 4 gigs >: /

Yeah, I prefer a focus on infantry....and BF2 IS fun, don't get me wrong, but when force to rate it out of 10 stars, it'd give it 3-4 for FLARING problems (an launched grenade explodes at point blank...kills me, but not the guy who fired it at me, who is 3 feet away. Wow.)

They need to learn to optimize code a lot better....bf2 is too much of a resource hog, and the graphics are FAR from steller.
 
Graphics arent stellar? I have to disagree with that. When settings are cranked up, I think it looks very good. I cant think of one game that is the same type, that has graphics as good as it. Huge maps, tons of people, planes, tanks, etc.

But yeah it has some bugs, but I still would give it a 8.5 or so. Its what I play 80% of the time. And as soon as I finish F.E.A.R. and CoD2, probably 95% of the time. 🙂
 
I second that, EA can GF themselves with this and the original game (BF2, BF2-SF) HOWEVER, NFS-MW can out very nice in my very humble opinion.

Are you enjoying FEAR? IMO its the best single player FPS out right now. I loved it!
 
Yes, but I put playing it and CoD2 on hold. I stopped playing them about two weeks ago, wasnt getting good enough frames for my liking and config. So now I have a second GTX on the way, when it gets here.. I plan to resume them both.
 
The SAS Uniforms are off, the G36K is capable of Single/Burst/Auto Fire Modes, you shouldn't be able to slide UP a rappel line... So many things wrong with it, tut tut EA.

BF2 I can run up to 16x12 on Medium-High, BF2: SF chugs along in 10x76 on Medium. I think htey rushed it out the door too quickly.

Until i can put together my new computer in a few days, I'm stuck with the demo on my current crappy computer. Everything about this game oozes quality. As in, this could easily become my favorite PC game of all time.
