ati 9800pro is gonna cuase you to lower the setting. my gfx is just a tiny bit faster than your and i personally find it very nice but you'll still be paying at low low low setting like i do.

That's still pretty good. I have a P4 Northwood @ 2.4Ghz with an AIW 8500DV (which sucks a LOT of ass) but I can still play it!

it'll be okay. just dont play with too many people.

i would suggest upgrading to an athlon64/64X2 of some sort, getting 2GB of ram, and at least a 6600GT. thats what i did (well my cpu stayed the same haha) and my performance went up like crazy (unplayable to high settings with 2xAA/4xAF).

the vid card and processor are fine for bf2 , but with 1 gb you're going to have lots of lag.... i have to put everything on low except textures to play the game decently and i have a similiar system
