Am a little new to Battlefield 2 and have a couple questions. Does helicopters,tanks,planes,ect take more damage if hit in certain spots? If so what are the weakest spots? Is it possible to kill someone in the cockpit of a helicopter if you hit them?

Any tips/tricks with playing?
 
-You can kill someone in the cockpit with the upgraded sniper rifle. (it is much fun to hide and snipe people as soon as they get in the chopper)

-Aim for the back of tanks - it is where the least amount of armor is.
 
After you eventually earn so many points, you get to choose upgrade kits (i.e. upgraded gun). Do a search on the BF2 sites and you can read about it.
 
I believe you have to be playing on "Ranked" servers if you want to accumulate points too. I am not positive because I always have played on the ranked servers...

Yes, a message will pop-up as soon as you accumulate enough points, no need to restart te game
