BF2 players w/ Zonealarm pro (anyone out there)

I experience major lag with Zonealarm pro. When I shutdown zonealarm pro no problems with BF2. anyone configure zonealarm pro with any game that experienced similar problems?
 
Kinda late for this reply, but just saw it. Did you use the configuration listed in the manual? There is a whole list of what ports to leave open for BF2.
 
I can honestly only suggest to remove that piece o' trash and install a different firewall. then configure accordingly.

I hate Zonealarm... such a freaking hassle that program is.
 
Why just use Windows Firewall? lol I downloaded a sub7 on purpose and windows firewall let it in, Might as well just turn it off cause it doesnt do sh!t. Forget that zonealarm use avg free.
 
I used ZA for years and it seemed pretty good in the beginning but it eventually got bloaty and problematic, as is oft the case. So I switched to the free Kerio 2.1 and have no complaints.
