okay, so I got my video card rma back today and reinstalled windows and everything. I install all the crap i do like usual such as antivirus and drivers.

after that, I install bf2 and it looks like everything is fine. I don't install that gamespy thing. I reboot windows and try bf2. It goes to the splash screen and then everyhitng goes black.

im useing win xp on a 6600gt with 77.72 drivers.

what makes me think its running on the 1.02 patch is that sometimes when it freezes my start menu pops up and I see one of the icons as bf2 version 1.024and a bunch of numbers.

So is it running on 1.02? how do I get it back on 1.00?

thanks in advance,

cheezeit

I don't put much effort into troubleshooting when there's not much effort put in to fixing the problem before asking for help.

But, anyway, thanks for noticing :lips:
