BF2 installation question

should I install both the patch and hotfix? or just the hotfix?

The 1.02 patch is suppossed to be able to patch both 1.00 and 1.01.

I'm only getting one major problem right now that needs to be fixed. All others are just my opinions on what needs to be fixed with the gameplay (i.e. I'm a whiny bitch and can't take how the game was made). Crush some crappy bugs, then iron out the TK system, iron out the god damn auto balance and switch over the weakest players instead of the strongest players, etc.

Was playing Karkand the other night, leading my US team with 30 kills and around 12 deaths or so. Was doing very well for myself, with the score around 40 us, 45 them. We were losing, but everybody was fighting hard till the end. Then, the fvcking game switches me over to MEC because teams are unbalanced, I'm pissed off completely, and the god damn US ends up winning, giving me a loss. Not fun at all.

also, I only got 1 gig of ram and my BF2 plays awsome...well I think so what is the thing you type in the console to get the frames per second displayed?

tab key for command completion.

From the console press tab twice to see a list of commands, then press . then tab twice again to see the list of subcommands.

The command you're interested in is renderer.drawFps 1

Just install the 1.02 hotfix. It's an all inclusive patch.

~ for console | renderer.drawfps 1 for frame rate counter.

you'd only be interested in the number on the LEFT, that is your FPS.

Happened to me the other day. Except I was on a different map (not sure) and we were winning when it switched me. It was actually near the end of the game and it dumped me to MEC. So then I got the loss and didn't get the 2x points.
