Is there anyway to get mouse wheel support in the Battlefield 2 Demo? I use the mouse wheel (up and down) for pitch up/down on planes/chopers ect. It will not let me set, it says it is already in use in "Common" but it is NOT in use on common. In common I have it set to push (click) down the mousewheel for reload, so I took that off, and it still says the same thing. THanks

Similar things happen when you try to use keys on the numpad. Some things are set by default in BF2 and not meant to be changed in-game. You can change them manually though (or delete them in the .con file and then fix them in-game)
Look for Controls.con in here:
X:\Documents and Settings\Profile\My Documents\Battlefield 2 Demo\Profiles\0001

The same thing happened to me with the ALT key. It wasn't being used but BF2 said it was, in "common".

Yep, I heard there was a way to edit it...but I dont know how. I seen the place someone was talking about but editing it did nothing. this is the only thing stopping me from purchasing the game, shrug

I had the flight stick issue as well. What I painstakingly did was clear the entire control maps and reset them one by one, doing the flight stick first, and it worked. Good luck.
