BF2 cant find setting

After I upgraded to 2 gig of ram most of my troubles with this game went away. After an hour or 2 I'm slammed to the desktop or rebooted. this is on low ping servers (ranked) if my ping isnt under 100 I'll look elesware. Any way ive been notching down my vid settings to no avail. Andan settings just dont seem to be getting it. Is this happening to others?
 
BF2 isn't well known for its perfect stability, but personally, I've never had any problem with it.

Have you tried memtest86 on the new memory?
 
i get the same thing, doesnt happen often but it does that. 1.02 patch

everythings fine and all of a sudden the game just closes and i'm back infront of windows desktop.

i think its just the game unstablilty.
