Really? How can you fuck something this simple up so badly...

Anyways, I installed this game again for the first time in years, patched it up and now get this error.

I cannot edit the registry as the software isn't even showing in there. Has anyone dealt with this before?

There is a program called "Battlefield 2_code.exe" in your Battlefield 2/support folder that allows you to reenter your CD code. Give it a shot.

If that fails, you can call EA Tech support for the PC at 650-628-1905 .

Updating Punkbuster by downloading "pbsetup" from evenbalance.com should solve this issue.
