BF1942 question

why does this game make you wait for up to 18 seconds to respawn, is there a way to speed this up?

The "wait" will vary and sometimes it's much longer then 18 seconds. It can be disabled by the server admin and the defult setting is "random" I believe. As to reason why, I have no idea and was wondering about that myself. I think it's to give you enough time to choose a different spawn point as well as player class.

Well, it would be impossable to capture a spawn point if people were coming out of it every second. That's why.

SirDude is right it is part of the gameplay. 1942 would not be fun if everyone kept swawning. Think about it before posting.

I was refering to single player mode.
is there a way to turn down the respawn time?

Did you take your lithium today? It can't be done in the campaign but it can be done if you start a game in co-op. Create it as a local game and it will only be you against the bots. Think about it before posting, then cut your balls off so your retardation ends after you die, which is hopefully in the next 5 minutes.
