BF1942 Patch 1.31 Released

Here's a mirror I got from the Desert Combat forums:
Fileplanet
Too bad I hate fileplanet. 😛

Edit - Hmm maybe next time I'll look at your link 1st to see if it already has a FP link included or not.

This patch seems pretty good from my quick testing of it. Sound seems much better and the video seemed smoother too. Incase you're wondering DC does work with it... just have to play on a 1.31 server (obviously).
BTW I downloaded from the Utah 3D Gamers server @ 240KB/sec.

My 5.1 setup sounds MUCH better now. I don't know what they did, but I no longer get pops and other crap when I play.

I, along with some other people online, have been getting *horrible* connection problems with 1.3.1. I'm reinstalling now, it's so bad.

I've noticed it's better too, but one little issue.

I have an Audigy2 with the latest drivers and everything, and when I turn on hardware acceleration it goes to 31 voices when my Santa Cruz used to be 65 or something.

Anyone else with an Audigy2, what is yours?

Maybe they just changed it to that on that card for compatibility reasons or something.

I still get the occassional scratchy sound, but video performance and Hardware sound performance is much improved. At least now I can hear when I'm being shot at!

Bah, can't play on nVidia servers anymore with 1.31. Seriously considering going back to 1.30 until nVidia updates their servers. Their FX might not be King of the Hill, but their BF Servers sure are! 😀

MysticLlama I'm running an A2 and still have 63 hardware voices. Have you updated your drivers from Creative's site?

I'm using the latest drivers (dated Feb. 11 on Creative's site) and I can still only get 31 channels as opposed to 63 with the 1.3 patch 🙁 I did a clean install of the game as well, still no luck.

Yeah, I do have the latest drivers, I did 1.31, and the latest of the Creative drivers and ATI drivers the same day. I used auto-update though, because downloading the file was being weird. Would that make any difference? I wouldn't think it should.
