Athlon XP 2400+
Asus A7N8X Deluxe
512MB DDR PC2700 RAM
Gainward Geforce 4 4200 using the newest Nvidia drivers 44.03

I'm running the game on 1024x768 with all details to the Max. My rig should handle that game like a charm, right?

From what I've heard 1 GB of RAM would help, plus a 4200 is rather antiquated these days (have one myself, but it's definitely an old card).

also visit www.tweaktown.com and use their system optimization guides... as well as their BF1942 system tweak guide. They can really help improve performance. I used to get "Virtual Memory Low" messages and BF1942 used to run slow as hell, but now its really smooth, and everything works great.

1gb ddr. game uses atleast 600 alone if you have that. desert combats hit past 700 easy. i run perfectly smooth at that res on a radeon pro 9000+1gb ddr, not exactly stressful:)
