I guess I can see why not, but a that would be cool if Anandtech had a server or some kind of match play.

So we can't have a clan here or what? We don't need like a fancy webpage and we don't need to get together before a game to plan out a stategy or anything. It would just be nice to have a few people (heck even one person) on my team who know what is going on. It's frustrating to have your whole team waiting for a plane to spawn or to have them all running around as snipers on a tank heavy map.

I'm not great at flying the helos or planes, but I'm pretty good with the land vehicles, good with the assault, and a good sniper/scout to snipe and call arty.

I cant fly them I can fly planes but I cant use them to bomb/destroy other planes. (I just fly around untill i get shot down by AA guns ).

Here is the original BF1942 clan thread. The thing fizzled out pretty quickly. We could never get together. I work very weird hours, some people were in different countries, we only practiced like 3 times, muchless actually played in a clan match.

They said we couldn't use the Anandtech name. No biggie.

Narzy was supposedly trying to get an Anandtech server up, and he asked people for money and parts, and then the thread dropped and I never heard anything about it again.

We need to get headgear and a prog that allows us to bark out commands while playing. It's difficult to type out all my orders but when I do we win. I can't fly the helos yet but I'm working on that when I can (offline) and don't take them in an actual game, I leave them for the experts. That's why I like the game you can get good at one task and stick to it making you an "expert" in that tactic. We should just plan a game and a good server to hop on one night. Just invade that server.

A few of my friends and I have been playing together lately. We use the software at Teamspeak.org and Logitech gaming headsets to communicate in-game. The quality of Teamspeak is incredible, and it is FREE. You can make your own servers for privacy, very easy to setup.
There is also a smacktard free community at www.agbf1942.com. That's the group/non-clan for the Usenet newsgroup Alt.Games.Battlefield1942. They run 2 servers all the time, password protected, but you can just goto their website to get the passwords. You have to promise not to be a smacktard to play there though, and to take the [AGB] tag.

We are usually playing from 11pm to 3am eastern. Look for [AGB] The Tinman, [AGB] Rambo Joe, [AGB] JD Master Chief, [AGB] Jeffrow....

I am The Tinman.. I am just getting the hang of flying helo's now.

Look me up on Teamspeak, I have been using the #1 Teamspeak public server, in the High Quality Room #1... It's public, and it's free.. Lots of fun!!
