I can hang with all of that except the 2GHz CPU. I'm at 1533MHz.
Ah, well.
Yeah, I would be running dual, but my motherboard messed up, so I'm down to one proc.Originally posted by: CubicZirconia

I like playing BF1942 but I'm not real good at it, so I get creamed most of the time. Seems like everyone on the public servers knows it inside out, therefore they kick my butt.
I'll pick up Vietnam and stick with the newbie servers...![]()

The 9700 Pro is just amazing - it has to be the vid card with the longest viable lifespan since the advent of 3D acceleration. It was just SO far ahead of its time that by all appearances it will still be a perfectly respectable card, and faster than many mainstream, midrange cards two years after its introduction. What a brilliant card!
I would disagree. The 9700 was a huge leap. Especially for AA and AF performance. It's not that often that you have a video card release that doubles or triples the performance of the previous generations.Originally posted by: BD2003

This isnt so much cause the 9700 was amazing, but because change has been sooooo slow since it came out.
Does it have punkbuster installed?Originally posted by: kuk
Well, just to make you all jealous:
I bought Battlefield:Vietnam today!
We had an early release here in Brazil, since (apparently) all CDs are manufactured here.
Had hard lockups until I changed soundcards (from SB128 to C-Media onboard) and lowered video settings.
But the game looks great!
