No here. This is the time of year where I pretty much stop buying anything from anywhere. Don't generally start again until January.
I saw Menards 11% was ending on Thanksgiving day, but I haven't seen a Black Friday ad for them yet.My wifes family is big on the whole BF thing so I'll be going to the usual places like the mall, Menards, Wal-Mart, BestBuy, ect.
At first I kind of hated it but now I've learned to just embrace the craziness and just roll with it.
Although I personally believe the sales thus far (yes BF now starts online over a week before the real date) are not great, this is bullshit.Black Friday has been fake for probably 15 years now. It has been so fake that for the last 5 years or so they make stuff up before BF and then mark it down to a price that was higher than the summer and call it a deal.
Cyber Monday was always fake.
Yeah, I had been looking to get an Apple Watch for my wife to replace her aging Fitbit. With the recent price cuts for BF, it seemed like the opportunity to buy.Although I personally believe the sales thus far (yes BF now starts online over a week before the real date) are not great, this is bullshit.
If you look at just a few popular Apple products alone, you see substantial discounts that are better than at any point in the year.
9th gen iPad $230 (list price $329)
10th gen iPad $349 (list price $449)
Apple watch SE $189 (list price $249)
I'm sure some retailers pull the tricks you refer to, but you can't fake an Apple deal. Similarly, Amazon's in-house devices are about as low as they get. I didn't compare exhaustively but it should be the same as their Prime Day deals. If you know what you're doing, you'll save money vs. any random day in the summer.
