BF 2142!!

I guess he can't. Personally I was a huge Bf fan. I loved Battlefield 1942 and all of it's expansions. BF Vietnam was cool too. It felt like a slightly glorified expansion pack. BF2 was bull**** ************************!! I hated it. The best part about the game was that it came with a headset. And that broke after 2 months of careful care. I could go on a rant (ooops, I mean a longer rant) but I'm in teh middle of class so I can't. Dammit.
 
The idea is good in my book but I don't trust EA to do anything but fudge it up. BF2 is still fun for a quick blast on the LAN but not worth the hassle for long periods.
 
Well, for BF 2142 , They are going to have some tough competition.

Quakewars
BF2142
just to name a few.

However, From looking at the trailer. BF2142 seems too much like a rehash of BF2. nothing new.

You just look at the pictures from this article.
The guns are just too simular to bf2... nothing new... no outragous weapons like you get in UT series.......... reviews are going to compare it with these games and it will just look abit plain...
Infantry just are just infantry with different flavored guns.
Tanks are going to be the same.
helicopter become flying balls of death.

BF2142 just seems soo much like C&C version of BF2

IMO, EA will probably screw this one up.

Meh...

They should actually put some time into the game an make it more interseting instead of just crapping it out.
 
I used to have this game....back when it was called MechWarrior.

I personally don't expect this to overtake BF2/COD2 because they're more realistic. The realism comes from our perceptions rather than the mind of some trekky that designed the new game.
 
I refuse to pull what I did w/ BF2 and buy it in the first week. Patience will reveal if EA screwed everyone again or if they managed to pull a functioning game out of their a$$.
