I am getting 40kb now on the torrent. I am really pretty new to this torrent thing and looking at this bitcomet program there is so much going on there i am getting very confused. I used to use bittorrents once and a while but havent for a long time. Anyone know of a GOOD guide of how to use them right..effeciently, and where to get good files?

I'm getting from 15-40 and i should be getting around 250.. damn lousy torrents

Just because you have cable doesn't mean torrent will work well. Comcast here is only 256k up, so even though we get 5mbps down it won't work well.

Give it around 2 or 3 minutes to connect to peers and seeds.

Also, make sure ports 6881-6889 ( I think?) are forwarded properply.

The faster you upload, the faster you downloaded.

For example, I can upload at 45KB\sec. I set my cap at 40KB\sec (if I'm going to be gone) or 35KB\Sec (if I want to browse the web and not know that I'ms seeding)

If I were to set my upload to 45KB\sec, it would choke the download speed.
