well why does it only go to 1280x960 and not standard 1280x1024??

the same problem with the original battlefield, think you had to edit some ini file to add that in

1280 x 960 is actually the correct 4:3 ratio... Don't know why the fvck 1280x1024 even exists.

No resolution limits that I've encountered. running 1600x1200 85 hrz on 75.90 drivers. Display caps out at 2048x1536.

If you are res limited check your monitor ini file and make sure it's not some generic PnP monitor or something.

I take it you have never owned a lcd monitor :p

for alot of lcd's 1240x1024 is the native resolution, practicly all 17" and 19" screen and windows detects resolutions supported by the lcd automaticly

And no, the aspect ratio is NOT wrong, since the monitor is physically at that 5:4 ratio.

Only LCD I've used is 1600x1200 native.

My point though is that 1280x1024 is a basterdized resolution that should probably never have happened in the first place when 1280x960 is the correct resolution between 1024x768 and 1600x1200. The VESA people must have been drunk or something.

Anyhow, I would HOPE that any LCD would match the aspect ratio of the native resolution be it 4:3, 5:4, 16:10, etc. That's the only saving grace for the 1280x1024 mode that the the panels are in fact 5:4.

Yeah, the game is stupified. It tells me to install some new Nvidia drivers, when I am surely damn happy with my 67.66s! And in the options it will not allow me to select 1280x1024, however... when the game is running, I'll click the Menu on my Samsung 710N... and it says 1280x1024! Stupid game...

The monitor is still fed the 1024 signal, but the picture carried on the signal is processed at the low rez.

Sweet, but I don't like how loose and laggy the air craft movement is. Have to move my mouse 10 feet just to get the nose up 2 mm even at 300 knots some times.

Still playing with input settings.

I HATE how it's reversed...

Down is up and up is down.... ARG!

ummmm..settings window!

And no native widescreen support on such a big title? Supposedly you can enable it through the .con, but that only causes me to crash.
