Then again, my 60" Mitsubishi rear-projection DLP TV goes was made in 2009, and the picture quality still seems pretty damn good even compared to some newer LCDs in the price range.

One of the first LCDs with acceptable picture quality. Looks like crap compared to LCDs today.

My 5 year old 37" Samsung LCD has a 3" bezel and is about 3" thick.

My 1 year old 55" LG LCD has a 1" bezel and is about 1" thick.
