I played the demo (GS was giving away free keys for it) and I liked it. I think I'm going to take advantage of Amazon's deal they have where you trade in $20 worth of stuff and they give you a $20 credit on top of your trade in value towards BTS. I have a couple of games that I've been waiting to get rid of on a good deal.

I'm using the credits that accumulated on my GS Trade in card.

Any else one getting this. I will as it looks pretty amazing.

Buying it's a no brainer for me. I wasn't absolutely blown away by their last two games, but I did enjoy both, and love that their games are DIFFERENT. I really don't know what to expect from them, and love that they try new things, and are pretty successful doing it.

I'd have to hit my head and suddenly hate games to not want to play this!

I'm going to wait on this one. I really liked Heavy Rain but with GTA out and the new systems coming out soon, I'm going to wait on it.

Me too, after I finish GTA I'll be into Battlefield 4 and then Watch Dogs/PS4/XB1. I'll have no time for last gen at that point. Not for a while.

I thought the same thing but i won't be getting rid of my PS3 any time soon so this and GTA V will hold me over until PS4 releases on the 15th

I thought the demo was great, and despite how many times I've watched the train gameplay section I still played through it a little differently than what I'd seen. By the end I was really itching to keep going. So yeah, I'm getting it, and will hopefully take advantage of Amazon's $20 bonus credit.

I'm getting it. I didn't think I was going to get any new games for this generation's hardware, but the release lineup for the PS4 doesn't include a lot of the games I want to play. So I've put off a PS4 purchase until at least the new inFamous is released, at which point I'll get that and Watch Dogs.

Just played the demo... its a glorified dragon slayer game. As one who hates quick times, this will not be on my games to get list. ^^

I've seen quite a few negative reviews for this game so far. Most seem to report that the story just isn't very good nor is the gameplay.

My problem with this game is the developers seem to forget that they are supposed to make games. I enjoy a good story, but not at the sacrifice of actually playing a game. I am glad that they are getting hit pretty hard on some reviews, hopefully they will take that into consideration on their next project.

True, even with MGS4 for all it's story and FMV and dialog it still had a lot of actual action.

Picked up my copy earlier today

I'm glad I didn't pre-order this. I really enjoyed Heavy Rain but wasn't too sure on this one. I'll eventually pick it up but it'll be a while.

I had mentioned to my father that I was excited for this game, and low and behold he fordwards an email from bestbuy saying he bought it for me for my birthday. I am excited!!

I wasn't too impressed with IGN's review of it, maybe they expected too much. Personally I love movie-games. I would much rather have a simple game that has a lot of cut scenes than an overly complicated one.

I listen to the IGN podcast just because they are pretty funny, and the guy Colin, who is a huge Sony fan and loves Heavy Rain is pretty negative about this one.

After reading reviews I've revised my plan from buying this game to not buying this game. I'll probably wait until it's free for Plus members...

I don't mind if it's an interactive movie if the story is good, but reviews are slamming the story itself. After the storytelling of The Last of Us, this one doesn't sound like it measures up, and TLOU was a game first and movie second.

Same...the reason I went from purchasing to renting @ redbox...though I still didn't get around to playing last night...maybe tonight

I'm honestly not surprised by the polarized opinions on it. Quantic Dream games do that. I've been trying to get a brother of mine to play Heavy Rain for ages, but he's very negative about it being a 'game' although he's never tried it. It's important to note that I'm only about 50% complete, BUT, so far Beyond has been as good as Heavy Rain at its best throughout my ~6 hours of playtime.

One of the negative things I remember about Heavy Rain prior to my playing it, and now Beyond, is that these are essentially 'bad' dramas. In a way I agree, in that were these traditional TV series they'd not be winning any best drama Emmys, but there's something very satisfying and engaging in playing a game that straddles a middle ground as an interactive drama. There's a script to follow, and a narrative to be told, but you're the director and have some leeway in how that's accomplished. I'm really itching to see how this all comes together. There have been some extremely well done segments already, and the motion capture work and all the effort put into visuals has made it tough to put down. Now, hopefully the plot doesn't dive off a cliff in the second half, but so far it's been well worth the wait and hype.
