I just got the BTV 4.5 + PVR-150MCE + Firefly bundle from snapstream. I am deciding which Hauppauge drivers to use.
I have both a Beyond TV 4.5 install disc and a Hauppauge install disc that came with the bundle. The install guide says to install from the Beyond TV disc. However I notice that the Hauppauge drivers on the Beyond TV disc are pretty old - 2/23/2005 - whereas the Hauppauge disc has drivers that are much newer - 4/12/2006. I also downloaded the latest driver release from www.shspvr.com and these are dated 4/19/2006.
It appears driver issues are a pretty big deal with the PVR-150 series so I would like to prevent them from the start. Should I install the newest drivers or should I install the old ones on the Beyond TV disc? Since I can use the PVR-150 for more than just Beyond TV I'd rather have the latest drivers but if there is some reason why this is bad, please LMK!
