I've been playing around with the Beta RC1, but I really didn't like they way they set it up play mp3's as you needed to run the CD through Windows Media player first inorder to populate the listings.

Aside from hooking up to some movies-on-demand service (after watching 2-3 Verizon would promptly cut off my internet access for another 3 days, damn them to the hell of a thousand horny Rosie O'Donnels :|), does it do anything that we don't all already do with freeware?

what is it? a program or an operating system?

if it's an OS, it might be a decent competitor to WinMP; as a program, I don't see it doing anything that I couldn't already do for free with minimal effort.
