Beyond Meat's veggie burger lists 20g protein as 40% of Daily Value?! And lawsuit alleges it's false

Note: I don't see or taste the onions :(

Lasagna:

Neither lists the 'Daily Value %' next to their protein content

I can handle most other bugs but after years of the SMELL of feeder-crickets (for inverts) just the thought of eating them makes me feel ill.

I don't care what anyone says -- texturally, all of these faux meat burgers taste like public school food.

I'm pretty sure school meat was made with some percentage of soy. I always liked the stuff. If there was a public school restaurant that served exactly the menu I had in school, I'd stop in regularly.

I know our burgers at the chow hall on base were in the 90s, there was a sign that said so, I think it was like 20-30% soy? They were alright (granted I never paid any of my own money for them).

My guess is disclosure of protein %DV is voluntary. Many items in my kitchen only list grams of protein but the Shiro miso

and keto breakfast cereal

do list %DV.

With rates of 1g = 1% and 11g = 20% they seem to be in line with what is claimed in OP.

I doubt the claims of quality of pea protein will hold up. FDA regulations likely just count if it exists.

Probably a matter of time until we see cricket based burger patties. More protein. You vill eat ze bugs!

I've had crickets in my salad while traveling in central america and eaten them in other things. They just taste a bit like sunflower seeds. I'd be fine with it.

Donate to your local school and stipulate access to caf food as a condition.

All I remember about the High School burgers is that they were greasy as hell. Mid 1960s.

Of course fucking plant protein sucks. Because it isn't just protein that makes the food "work".

The body is great at sensing foods.

It's also great at delusion.

All that processing is going to nuke the fragile vitamins like the B complex and C...then they just mix in good ol' powdered factory version to restore what was lost.

Even amongst land meat and water mater, tastes vary. My mom has actual contempt for the taste beef. I like beef once a month, if not twice. Really clears up some shit. And my entire family is not thrilled by fatty fish.
