This whole lefty media thing is really silly. Perhaps we're talking about the same media that made a huge deal for months and months and months out of Clinton having an affair and then lying about it so his wife wouldn't fine out. And of course that very same "liberal media" glosses over the fact that the President of the United States convinces us to invade another country to secure WMDs that, whoops, didn't exist.

couldn't have said it better myself, or how about the "i invented the internet" quote that fox news took totally out of context in the 2000 election, but you wouldn't know this unless you actually read the whole quote

also rip, i get my news from a variety of sources, i like to watch the BBC at night, i will read news on the internet from MSN and CNN, i will occationally go to the library and read the gaurdian, and i read the campus newpaper, but what i don't do is form my opinions from one source, i like a mix of view points, somtimes thats what you need to form the correct opinions- it allows you to dig through the bullsh!t and spin that many new organization put on stuff, i also watch the daily show cause its always a satire on whats happeneing in the political world (but thats all its meant to be, entertainment)

i honestly hope that you don't just listen to fox and take it as gospel, but judging from your anti-sex, anti-birthcontrol, and anti-Em stemcell research threads it really wouldn't surprise me

With a purely Republican slant.

Brainwashing at it's finest. Works great on the Sheeple.

It's nice to have fair and balamced brainwashing these days. Look how many of the other sheeple are starting to evolve brains these days.

sometimes i can't take you seriously a a poster here. Same thing that happens when moonbeam posts, except in a very different way.

Being compared to Moonbeam is a pretty good complement and I'm sure you didn't mean it that way. Moonbeam is verbose where I am not.

it was the closest feeling i could get to, by no means am i comparing you to moonbeam. ;);) I also get a similar feeling from mr. mcowen if it make you feel better. ;) Basically that you don't blend in here.

I just get the feeling you just run around being cynical (or whatever term i'm trying to think of and failing) without actually arguing anything.

Moonbeam is verbose where I am not

reminds me of this dumb W quote, from the W doll we have in our lab that says lots of real stupid, real W quotes (one of the guys in my lab got it in texas when he was visiting his grandparents in crawford)

"verbosity, leads to unclear-inarticulate things"

Condor's comments strike me as the very reason I started this thread. "Liberal media: BAD! STUPID! LIARS! Well, all right -- the conservatives now have their own voices well-represented in all aspects of media. ABOUT TIME! WELL DONE!"

Don't get me wrong, I listen to all brands of opinion in an effort to produce my own "balanced" version of the media, and yet it's quite clear that conservatives can no longer play the "underdog" when it comes to this topic.

Cable news stations are just lame. Most of them seem to be just "let's see how many people we can get on here to yell at each other" shows.

I think the Daily Show was right on when it had a couple of little kids reading the transcripts from Crossfire; those shows aren't anymore than that.

You can only show the same thing so many times. You need to fill in the rest of the programming with something. Debate on the issues isnt a bad show idea if you pit a liberal and a conservative together and let them duke it out.

There is a reason why the big three networks dont show news all day and have regular programming with Oprah, Soaps, and sitcoms.

Discussion is one thing, bitching matches is another. (ie: Hanity and Colmes, Bill O'Reilly, Crossfire)

Yeah, I never think funny when I type. Moon beam also posts some pretty deep stuff. I post in the knee deep navy.
