No, thats just the shit that was on her last album. Beyonce use to have better music. She is going through a phase now. I will be over soon. I want more jams like "Me, Myself, and I" or "Irreplaceable".

Irreplaceable is an awesome track. My personal favorite is Sweet Dreams. I also like Halo a lot.

Who was that fat chick singing in her underwear? I just changed it to NBC and the documentary they had about SNL 75-80.

I don't get the hate for Beyonce's halftime show. Halftime shows universally suck and that's just agreed upon, so Beyonce having a mediocre halftime show is actually a significant accomplishment. I know almost nothing about Beyonce (the only song I recognized was the Single Ladies song, which I truly hate), so this was my first chance to listen to her, and although her music is generic pop garbage and her "dancing" looks like someone electrocuting a palsy victim, it was marginally more entertaining to me than Madonna's epic struggle against gravity or the Black Eyed Peas epic struggle against the basic definitions of what constitutes music. Yeah, it sucked, but it didn't suck as much as I expected, and that's commendable.

But Jesus, those songs all sucked out loud. Is that really what her music is like?

Oh Madonna was last year? no wonder I forgot, wasn't bad enough to remember like the BEP....still horrible.

I don't hate Beyonce--her music is awful, though. Not a redeeming quality to any of it. When she is performing music, though, she can actually sing. Her performances in Showgirls and as Etta James were stellar.

Give her a song, and she can belt it. And for fucks sake--You can't stop looking at her. She seems to get hotter and hotter.

Yeah, Irreplaceable was so good. Actually, my favorite Beyonce songs are all on "Dangerously in Love".Best purchase I ever made with my allowance when I was a kid.
I am not really a big fan of "Halo" or "If I Was a Boy". I didn't like her last two albums, but I did like a few of her singles.

I really wish she would make up with the original members of Destiny's Child and do a show with them or something...but of course...Michelle is there, so you don't wanna snub her. :(

Basically, I miss when Destiny's Child with Beyonce was like this. They were awesome because they gave solid performances and you ain't have to dance that well..notice how out of breath she is..and that dude in the striped shirt was jamming!

Fat? Are you serious?

It says he is from Texas....I find his comment hilarious in that light.

anyhoo--I actually didn't think the Beyonce show was bad. As far as production and entertainment value...I "get it." I hate pop music and everything it is, and the culture it feeds, and would rather none of it, but to me, that just looked like a really well-staged show.

Now, it helps that I was watching this at a bar, with a few beers, and the sound was pretty much mute at that point and so all I really got from the show was her shaking her jumblies.

So, yeah...I was entertained enough.

what makes you think I am from the Bay Area? :colbert:

Ha...what makes you think I'm from Texas?

You know, dumb asses, moving to those places works AGAINST your collective arguments!

Is this because none of them came even close to being anything even approaching as attractive as bouncy and thus had to do something, desperately reaching for anything, to make them feel better for their inferiority?

They only get twelve minutes onstage during the halftime show. Next year's SB is outdoors in New Jersey so no live halftime show.

Howard Stern did have a good point yesterday on his show, it was more of a dance routine/workout than an impressive musical performance. She really did not sing much.

I'm not a fan of her music (I'm not her demographic) but I can definitely appreciate the physical performance...and the hotness of it all! Also the other two gals in Destiny's child are also quite hot. I didn't remember what they looked like.

I still like The Who's halftime set a lot: Youtube link - Mainly the great Baba O'Riley. Hooray for aging rockers!

She sang enough. You only get 12 minutes and I don't think I've ever witnessed a halftime show that didn't focus more on the pyrotechnics and stuff exploding everywhere.

I was not dissapointed. Ive been to many of her concerts before and she knows how to throw a good musical + dance performance when she has all the time in the world.

People still trying to shit on her for lip-synching are stupid, Beyonce can sing anything live and her voice is awesome...I have never heard her fuck up vocals before but I also know that she isn't going to take a risk and perform something she didn't practice with the band/sound system, whatever. She's a perfectionist.

Ugh, such an apologist. Open your eyes to other people's viewpoints, you might be surprised what you can learn.

Right, because I'm going to learn something from a bunch of people who claim she can't sing/perform/whatever/believe that Howard Stern clip was real when they have never been to one of her shows.

This isn't a P&N thread, so why are you here? She's not a thug in a hoodie...so why are you even posting in the thread?

I don't care for her music, but that doesn't make me go all "rabble rabble hate the music so must hate everything else too!" It was a good show and she looked nice.

Gotcha.. As usual, if an opinion differs from yours it is wrong.. and racist. And hoodie.

I rarely go into P&N other than to point out the rabid hypocrisy. I know it's embarrassing for you at times, but you really just need to work on analyzing opinions that are different from your initial irrational jumps to conclusions.

I don't recall saying anything about Racist. But, whatever. And sorry, not interested on analyzing the opinion of people who don't know what they're talking about. Saying the woman can't sing because she lip synched the National Anthem at Inauguration is dumb.

I personally know that she can sing since I actually listen to her music and follow her as an artist. If you do not, then your opinion doesn't matter to me. And no, I am not embarrassed. What for? This thread is obviously filled with people they don't know anything about Beyonce's music...so really, why would I be embarrassed?

So interesting that you randomly post in a thread on a subject you obviously don't care about.

Yea, sure. And classifying every black person in a hoodie as a "thug" is the safest way to get through life.

Do you listen to Beyonce? Yes, no?
