If she can hit the notes when she wants to, she can sing. Just like some other videos here show. You people just reach for anything to put others down. Board feed was a result of having no need to try.

I am not (I was born without a penis, unfortunately). But, I see where you're getting that from. 😛 I just like Beyonce, she's one of my favorite artists among others...and I have many favorite artists. I'd defend them about BS any day of the week.

TLC and Destiny's Child are my two favorite girl groups next to Boys II Men and Dru Hill being my favorite guy group.

Beyonce is hot and can sing but doesnt write her own songs so gets no love from me. Maybe she has written a song or two but the vast majority of her hits were written by others.

As we can see from American Idol, there are tons of people in this country that can sing (and more that cannot) but what separates them is if they can actually write what they sing. Thats what makes a top shelf singer IMO. I'll bet there are thousands of choir singers in this country that can give Beyonce a run for her money.
 
I hate Beyonce, she annoys the shit out of me. But I'm not going to say she can't sing, the best haters can do is point to a clip Stern played that isn't even real to discredit her? While I'm sure she's had some bad vocal performances, she can sing much better than all but a few people in the industry.

I also lol'd.

but what I'm saying, that's not just pop music. some of the most legendary songs came from writers that sold these songs to performers, or were contracted by producers or studios to write "some song about x subject."

Jimmy Hendrix now sucks, because he wrote none of his songs, right? Or every other rock star that wasn't good until they covered a Dylan tune?
