Of "OVERCLOCKERZ.COM! In July of this year I purchased a Gladiator h/s with a Delta fan. (works great, by the way).
There was some e mail about a free trial membership with "Travel Values.com. I never thought about it again, until today!
They (Travel Values), were kind enough to charge my debit card $72.00 which I gave to Overclockerz,(I thought) with some kind of privacy or security because my "trial" membership was going to expire!
I for one am outraged by this and just don't know who I can report this to.
I'm going to post this in EVERY forum I subscribe to, then join more so I can keep posting this warning!
Thanks for letting me vent!....t

<< Lesson: never use a debit card online. >>

I use my debit card online, and have for years. Use your brain might have been more appropriate. I've never had a problem. Also, many banks now offer the ability to dispute even a debit card purchase. Choose your bank wisely....and stay away from OCZ.

I would not use a debit card online, so far I've had my CC# plucked twice from using it online. A CC offers more security feature than a debit card - even if I ended up having the money returned to me after resolution, I wouldn't want to wait on my real money being tied up like that.

Hehe, something like tha thappened to me once, but i used my dad's American Express. Only thing is that they charged xtra 50$ like half an hour after i bought a new HD for one of my comps to subscribe to some magazine (i didn't even see it on the pay page on their website). Anyway, i got an email from AE like immideately saying that they charged the money, and asked if i approve or not. I of course said no, and never heard of them since that incident... :)

A debit card would probably be OK if you kept in it just enough to cover your online transaction, and not use the one tied into a checking acct. which also served to pay the mortgage, groceries, medical bills, etc.
