Don't throw them out John, I'll make the modifications I mentioned above and they should be good to go. The motor design should last longer than most designs I have seen out there, it is just how flimsy they were put together.

html, I have both the FOP 32 and 6cu. The 6cu is a good bit quieter.

I have a 6CU+ (7k RPM fan) and it is LOUD! Think I'll pick up a few 6CUs (5k RPM fan) this Saturday when I visit Fry's!

I have 8 of the GC-68's. I upgraded all of them to a 40cfm fan. Keeps things nice and cool.

Now if I can just get home long enough to finish turning up everything that was moved to the garage I could put up some numbers again.

I'm in Salina, KS for another 40 hrs.

I have read so many nightmare stories about GORBs, BLORBs, SORBS, DORBs, blah blah...over the past 2 years that I wouldn't even consider looking at one :disgust:

GWs (FOP-32, FOP38, CAKIII) have been good to me. And my fastest XP has an Alpha PAL 8045 (what a trip that was to install that thing! :Q ).

And sure, they're noisy, but I can't hear 'em 'over the room fans going 24/7 blowing cool AC air on the naked mobos...
