Beware going to Edmunds.com on a mobile device, not accurate.

I had my iphone at the dealership today thinking I'd get the same feedback edmunds.com gives me on my computer for pricing.

Apparently it's a whole different database used and very inaccurate.

I ended up getting a TMV price $1088 higher than what I should have been able to pay. The freaking dealer threw in a $300 rebate that technically has expired but was able to get it.

I paid $18 in tax for that. So I ended up with almost $800 more than what was the real fair price.

Other than that the Mazda dealership I dealt with was really nice, so that made it a little easier to swallow. I am going to mention it though next time when I pick the car up so they know I know. At the same time, I still think I got a good deal.

How much did you pay for it? Because I've found most pricing sites for them to be a little off.

That is annoying. I swear I've received different (and inferior) mapping routes on mobile google maps as opposed to the standard version, even though it makes no sense to me that it would process routes differently.

I saw just last week though on the iphone that its youtube search results are inferior to the non-mobile version. Google says it's copyright reasons.

Tell your wifey congrats on the new car she purchased! She came out with a great pick this time

she wouldn't test drive the auto/manual out of the parking lot...she was too intimidated by all the buttons and not having a clutch...she was worried she'd nail the brake pedal on the busy main road she'd have to navigate down.

She's coming from a 2000 Saturn SL2 with nothing power in it...she bought the car cash back in 2001 nearly new. I am not happy with the final rate, but it's not that bad...the main problem is all the really low banks didn't want to give the best rate to someone without any car credit in their past. She got 4.89 offered for either a 60 or 72 month loan. Since the rate is the same we went with the 72 month. I am planning on paying this off in 3 years...maybe less. Her score was in the upper 700's. If she had a car loan previously she could have qualified for 3.59% easily and maybe a bit lower from a credit union like Pen Fed.

Any pics? Those are nice cars, a friend of mine had one but wasn't happy with the ride. Little too rough so he traded it for a Mazda 6 which he loves.

I've driven one and was impressed with it too.

On most websites, isn't there an option to switch from the mobile version to the desktop version?

I was $26050

Should have been at $24900...however, I am hoping there are extras like mats and stuff.

Nice. Not bad. I'm loving mine. Sporty but comfortable enough to make road trips in. Definitely tint the windows but I haven't done anything else to mine.

It ships this weekend from Alabama...should be here mid-week.

cool, will look into that .

Personally I like the idea of mobile sites, but too many times you give up features and I am ok with horizontal scrolling.

Hi from Edmunds.com.
Actually, both our mobile site and our desktop site draw from the same database. Are you sure you chose the exact same Mazda 3 Grand Touring vehicle both times? So many choices... easy to mess it up. Next time, tweet a picture of the window sticker to @edmundslive during Pacific business hours and we'll shoot you back the True Market Value. Anything else we can do?

Didn't see this post coming. Thanks.

I would expect it to pull from the same database too. That's how most mobile sites do it. Although, I've seen caching issues that could cause this problem.

Uh oh, is the ATG an important enough car forum that Edmunds itself would post here? I'm in awe I guess.
