I got it and shipping was about $3.99. I don't know anything about maxim pc. Any feedback about this place?

UPDATE: i just got my nero today. The version is 5.5.5.6 I just downloaded the upgrade to 5.5.9.0 HOWEVER IT WILL NOT WORK WITH MY yamaha scsii 4x4x16. It says it will only work with the bundled package. Anybody else with any ideas?

Is this version 5.0? Do you know if it's restricted for use with certain CDRW's, or is it good for all CDRW's? Have you received Nero and loaded it? I remember a thread a couple months ago with Nero for 5-6 bucks but some people that bought it couldn't use it with their CDRW because it was a version that was tied into a certain brand of CDRW.

Yeah, the keyboards are a rip but 3.99 for the free Nero is OK by UPS ground. Funny thing is, if you make it two copies of Nero it goes to 5.99 shipping. Order three copies it shoots to 18.75. Four copies is 26.50. Go figure.😕
 
Just a suggestion here. I checked on Amazons site and Nero 5.5 or whatever the new version is is available for $59.99-$20.00 rebate-$5.00 coupon (out there somewhere) and I think maybe free shipping. Total $34.99. The cheapest I have seen it in a B&M is $69.99 at Frys in Portland OR.
 
Kind of funny that the post above showed that Fry's was selling this for 69.99. All someone has to do is go to Dell and buy a copy of Nero for around 55-60 and they will throw a free CDRW in, either a 32X or a 40X Lite-on.😉
 
If you're really that desperate, just search for NERO at Yahoo Shopping and you can find a bunch of 4 to 5 star sellers selling it for $18 shipped. Or, I'd recommend eBay if you really want a deal on something like this...🙂


No way would I trust this "FREE" company or the 1steweb guys.
 
It's usually upgrades from version 4.x.x.x to say, 4.4.x.x. Usually major upgrades from very primitive versions usually require $$$. At least, that's the way I see it.

Oh yes...this is based on the assumption that they send the software. As you see above, a 2.x rating from ResellerRatings...
 
If your gonna spend $15-$20, maybe it would be wise to buy a 32x cendyne CDRW....you will get nero in the package and you might get lucky and get a lite-on too!!!

History repeats itself....last time I was in on the deal and the cd was good only for mitsumi drives.Hopefully you guys will get refunds like we did...

OEM version of Nero works only on those cd burners bundled. Don't purchase OEM version of Nero! I have tried to used Nero came with Acer/Benq on my new Lite-on or Plextor drive. It didn't work. The cheapest way to get a Nero is purchase a Lite-on OEM drive. OC'ed it to 48x. Sell your Plextor and Yamaha burners. 🙂🙂
