In a fact I've tested 4 Brands of NF4, In all Past a certain date there BIOS will SCREW you guranteed !!

The dates are more less here. (another words Do NOT FLASH a BIOS thats for x2)

Anything before 4-15-05 or so seems ok....My mobos I know about are below....

ASUS - A8N-SLI DLX - 1007-003 <--- Last one that's ok>

MSI - K8N Neo4 Platinum/F - 1.3 <---- Last one thats ok...

and now my MOBO currently is a Gigabyte.

The new BIOS F5 would NOT WRK at all !! BAD BAD things happanned!!

So I'm on F4 Thee latest BIOS before the x2 update....

It seems It BOILS around a CPU Update and the Manufactures forgetting about old CPU's for what they call "old" :)

I've used all the bios since 1007 on the A8N-SLI deluxe with no problems, with a Winchester and a San Diego. I'm currently running 1012-002

Sounds like you didn't read the attached readme files, the newer bioses require a newer flash utility, if you flash a new bios with an older flash utility it will Fvck things up.
