Seems to a few more in various areas that have the same issue so I can't be crazy.

I find that response funny cause I asked about it to Comcast and they had no clue about Mail.com trying to contact them nor the issue at hand and Mail.com sent me a generic response but apparently sent that one to someone else on FB.
So I took Kenstate's advice and first went to McD's, apparently they use Comcast too. Went to a cafe place and got through just fine. But didn't want to sit there and try to transfer every website email to the new one just yet.
I did get on Comcast support chat where a nice chap named Amon, after careful explanation decided to ignore half of what I said and go through the default responses until I was told he couldn't help me and someone would call...nothing yet. I also sent a message to Mail.com support but they can't read and comprehend either providing the default responses.
Just an odd issue if you ask me but whatever. I just hate how companies outsource their support to the point where they are nearly useless and if they know to have such issues could at least provide that with a simple inquiry.
You said you changed phones and did not update phone number for gmail. Someone just does not guess password 3 times in a row, you wrote it on a piece of paper, gave it to someone, or was a very weak password to start with. Or used it on a site with same password as gmail.
The reason to care about gmail, is lots of websites/places won't take other email address. Lots of sites won't accept hotmail/yahoo/etc because of spam/scammers.
You would be wrong and I said nothing of going to Yahoo/Hotmail did I? My accounts were reported to be used for spam by Google so they suspended it until I proved who I am. Not everyone just happens to think, hey, I need to immediately notify my email provider of my new # within days of doing so, but excuse the fuck out of me. Whether someone stole some emails from their server like hackers did Target,Playstation, Origin, Steam...etc, or brute forced it or pulled it out of their ass I really didn't give a crap, I was just guessing since I'm quite secure and know how to use Roboform and Linux and AV software and secure a network but people getting their CC's and other info stolen from company servers does in fact happen, rather often it appears. You are going beyond the scope of the topic really....seriously, the email thing is ok now, I'll use iCloud, it's cool, just stay calm. No one gives a shit about my past issues with Gmail nor do I. You asked, I explained ..twice now
