If I wanted to start bullsh!t with you I'd just link to any one of your numerous flamefests with other members, and I'd call it at that. Again, I have other things to do.

As stupid as his mindset is, I don't think George W. Bush is an idiot. If that makes any sense

bush seems rather intelligent considering he won by the largest margine in his reelection in recent memory and accomplished quite alot. That of course, is largely overshadowed by his stuttering =\ Moore on the otherhand is more fluid in his speech, but has only established himself as a cult icon amongst the more extreme end of the spectrum.

It makes complete sense. I got into an argument with a liberal friend of mine about this just today. Here's my take on it:

(regarding my friend's education at Seattle University as opposed to Bush's education at Harvard and Yale) ...a person educated at an institution like Harvard or Yale is more likely to be intelligent because of rigorous entrance requirements and the intelligence required simply to keep up with one's peers. Meerly claiming that Bush is stupid does not prove it when the evidence suggests otherwise.

I don't like Bush, I don't care for his policies. I think he's arrogant and ignorant. However, taking your talking points from aides and advisers does not equate to stupidity, just laziness. I also think he's a horrible public speaker and an asshole. But I won't dismiss his actions as the result of stupidity.

Their intelligence is what's being questioned here, not what you think of them as people.

Not really... Bush made about every mistake he could possibly make. He rode a wave of charisma and his family to achieve his office. Further, not everyone wants power; in fact, I'd go so far as to say that very few of those who do seek to do good with it. Lastly, he's almost universally hated, aside from in certain parts of the US.

Bush bridged the gap between comedy central and cnn. Michael Moore just made some really terrible movies. (This is where I admit that I have no idea which one is more intelligent)

Michael Moore by far. Bush is just a trained monkey. Now cheney would make a better comparison, in which case Cheney would have my vote.
