better upgrade?

i have the following system:

2.8C @ 3.5
IS7
100 GB WD SE
120 GB Maxtor 8 mb cache
Audigy 2
2*256 geil ultra platinum
liteon cdrw
pioneer dvd rom
BFG 5900 @ 5950 speeds

i have a order with gateway for a X800XT ($470 with tax and all)

should i just keep the order, or cancel, invest in another 512 of ram and wait til the end of summer to see how low prices go on video cards?

the 5900 is only mine til the end of August btw

I'd go with the RAM cause you know the Vid Card will drop whereas the RAM already has started and 512 MB is not cutting it anymore.

it makes me laugh when i read these threads about upgrading. "no! 512 is not enough!" "phhh 9600xt? go x800!" "p4 2.8? you need to upgrade!" heck im runnin a 300mhz celeron 128mb ram and a 3dfx voodoo3 3000. constant 50 frames/sec in quake 2! 😀

Go with RAM. Your vid card is good. Or, get a 9800 Pro and overclock it. Wait ! Do both for the same amount of $$'s 😉
