Better than WinAmp for mp3-wav??

Ok, I've been using Winamp for the mp3 to wav decompressing. But I'm wondering if maybe there's another app that could do it faster with better quality?

What is everyone else out there using for this??

Thanks. 🙂

If you are talking about doing this for burning to CD, I think most people just let the burning software take care of it. Like Nero.

adaptec easy cd creator 4.0 and higher allow you to drag .mp3's right into the program to burn (w/out making them wav's using winamp before hand). i've found this to work very nicely.

although i still use nero when copying audio cd's.

Nero is best for straight up burning audio cds.
Audioactive studio is a nice program.
So is Steinberg wave lab.
And Soundforge.
And be sure to get an updated codec 🙂

sorry to upset a die-hard nero fan yo.

but i guess i'm old school and still use EZCD for that purpose...

but i DID put in at least ONE good word for NERO! and that's better than some people right? right? right...

I'm a hardcore Adaptec hater! grrrr :|

er wait, actually I've never used it...I just like Nero hehe 😉
To each their own.

Thanks for all the replys!
I bought a new burner for someone and it came with Nero, so I tried it. I like it! Very easy to use and does the job well.

Come on guys
Nero, and Easy CD Creater are both programs that are very usefull.

Nero is great for burning CDs if you know what youre doing and burning coasters if you don't know what youre doing.
Adaptec is good for burning coasters even if you know what your doing.

Both programs have there good points I'm sure, I've just yet to find any with Adaptec
