san diego is a dangerous place.

The only time I've fired that rifle was sighting it in or shooting watermelons out in the desert. I've gone on a couple hunting trips with it in the San Bernardino Mountains and up in Central California but like I said, they were more like armed hiking trips IMO. :D

And if you don't think there's any rugged country here you've been living in Florida too long and your brain is clearly fried.

That's not it...I just can't see you going anywhere you may get the least bit dirty.

I do not use scopes. I don't drop/throw my guns so the iron sights are where they need to be and have been for a quarter century. I did my time with practice when I was young. Thousands and thousands of rounds. I know where all my guns shoot and how they react to different loads. Even if I were to practice and shoot the full limit of deer here I would not need a half box.

Shooting for the sake of shooting is a different story. You haven't satisfied your inner gun nut until you cut down a 16 inch pine tree with a Browning 1919 mounted on a tripod. Too bad I fubared the video of that event. What a piece of shit camera.

I ran through thousands of rounds on USMC firing ranges in my youth...and thousands more in Vietnam. I LIKE to shoot...and in my youth...I was pretty dammed good at it.

I haven't been hunting since we moved to Kahleeforneeya 23 years ago. Too dammed many idiots in "them thar hills" who have no real experience with rifles or handguns...and are likely to shoot anything that moves.
