Better Software than DVD Shrink?

I wanted to backup a DVD I have (yes legally).

I haven't done this in a while and now I have Windows Vista.

A long time ago, I remember I installed Nero/DVD Shrink. I found DVD Shrink is no longer being updated.

What tool is everyone using nowadays?

if your dvd uses css keys you can't back it up legally because it involves breaking the css encryption and the dmca makes doing that illegal. not that i care, but you seem to.

But you also need to break the css encryption if you want to play your DVD on, say, a linux computer with non-commercial software. And that's clearly fair use. So... there's that.

Actually, is it really breaking the encryption once DeCSS became public knowledge? I'd argue not. It's not like he has encryption-breaking software running, he just happens to have a copy of the key.
