HI.

Just a very general question.

What offers, the best all round value/performance FX51 or 3.2EE??

I am in Australia, so the price of both CPU's, is about the same.

Which CPU, will give me best overall performance in gaming, photoshop, encoding etc.,

Is the multitasking benefits of hyperthreading that much better.

I don't care which CPU i buy, i just want the best overall performance.

thanks

I'm afraid you're not allowed to use the term "value" in that sentence.

either or would be good. The problem with the amd is that there aren't any really standout boards for it yet, unlike the intel and the asus p4c800 E.

Dont forget the IC7 MAX3 :)

Both are insane performance, and the IC7 is a stronger OCer unless you do voltage mods to the P4C800-E.

If you into encoding, the EE all the way...gaming, go for the FX...i do agree however that the boards are not as polished for the FX, plus the memory needs are a little more picky. the EE will OC pretty well too...up to you what you want...on the FX side, you might be able to put better processor's in later, Im not sure how high they are producing the FX's...
