god, i can't get enough of this movie. am i weird? i remember watching this movie when i was growing up, and HBO has been playing this movie again recently, and i watch it everytime it's on. it's on HBO Family right now, and i'm watching it as i type this. i think the French exchange student is so cute in this movie (she's also in Last American Virgin).

Its one of the best 80s comedys that not too many people saw. Shame too... its freaking hilarious

one of the funniest scenes is the two Japanese brothers who always want to race Lane Myer. one brother doesn't know any English, and the other one learned English by watching Wide World of Sports and talks like Howard Cosell... haha

While I don't think the French exchange student is that cute...this is one of my favorite movies ever. I have been wanting to buy the DVD for a while...but I do have the VHS. One of Cusak's best. My favorite part is the guys he's always racing...that stuff cracks me up.
 
One of the best movies of all time. So many classic lines...hard to pick one! 😀

Even now, I still think that French chick is da'bomb.

Yeah I saw this movie again just the other day, and I thought to myself 'OMG!!! It's the original RICERS!!!'

Had no idea what movie you were talking about until I remembered this. Is this the one where he worked at a diner and played the sax for her?
