I have an MX Revolution and I'm wondering if there's a better configuration software that lets me assign ANY function to ANY button on my mouse. SetPoint works but it's kinda crummy.

Coming from a Mac background (I owned Macs until a year ago), I'm basically wondering if there's something like USB Overdrive for Windows.

What binds are you having trouble with? Yes Logitech's software used to be better, and easier to assign keys, but you should still be able to assign keys to almost every button. I think the only buttons I couldn't assign were the thumb flip/scroll wheel.

Are you using "Keystroke Assignment" to map keys? In some games, you need to bind a null key if you want to bind some keys like "Shift", "Ctrl", or "Alt". For example, if you wanted Thumb Key to be "Shift", you need to assign Keystroke Assignment to "Shift+End". End can be replaced by any key that doesn't have a bind normally in-game. This is the only thing that annoys me about the newer SetPoints, as you definitely did not need to do this with previous versions with older mice.

Actually, the only button that's really restricted is the little one just below the scroll wheel. It doesn't let you assign a keystroke to it; instead, there's a list of mostly-useless functions in a drop-down menu and that's all you get. No middle-click either. I have it set to "Show Desktop" but I never really do that.

I honestly thought the setpoint program was pretty impressive. Quite a lot better than what I was using with the Razer Diamondback before I got my G9.

uberOptions modifies SetPoint to allow MANY more functions.
