that isnt correct either. 350w is the recommended, not the requirement. It is said that peopl ein NV shops are running the 6800 ultras on a 250w PSU, and ONE connector (read that on NVNews forums).

Good info, thanks :) Some of us were saying it was horse hockey from the day the reviews hit because they are just accounting for the fact that there are 450w generic POS PSUs that have a +12 rating of 15w

Agreed, but most Nvidia fanboys can form a coherent sentence and explain why they like the product rather than that it's competition "sux" and that anyone who likes the competition 'still lives with their mother' (which btw does seem like a pretty cut & dried case of projection). Don't take me the wrong way, I'm not saying a word about the actual companies and their product (actually think they're nearly as similar as coke & pepsi), just about the people who swear by one or the other.

that's because nvidia went through some tough times for a couple years...the fanboys had to try to think of REAL reasons why the 5800 was better than the 9700pro or risk getting laughed off the forums.:D

Back when ATI was the underdog, they didn't have as many stupid fanboys. Stupid fanboys flock to the company that's on top.
