PSA if you ever wanted a sporting rifle with detachable magazines I'd go get one NOW.

We may have the most anti-gun president ever, at least the market is saying so.
many guns and many ammo - particularly sporting rifles with detachable magazines are hard to find ATM. I looked and looked this week for Pmags for my Noveske N4 and could not find any online however did find only 2 at local store but they wanted $54 ea. I bought them. Used to be you could buy them for $20 anywhere. Ammo same. Such as 1000 rounds of 5.56 NATO lake city stuff or any hot loads are impossible to find.

Went to basspro, and talking to manager they are almost sold out on pistols and distributors will deliver none for at least a month.

So with short supply on everything related to auto-loading pistols and sporting rifles with detachable magazines I decided I better get more before it's too late.

Bought this for $2800 and it goes for $4000 at gunbroker should be a good investment once Obama starts banning

Going to find more today at local shops since all online shops are OOS on everything. It's amazing the drought.

We only a had a window to buy this stuff for about 6 years after ASB expired I fully expect at least those laws to come back if not more considering how much Obama and dems hate guns. Last ban I made $1200 from a colt AR I had expect to make a ton here too.

So if you ever want one i'd start start looking now before they are gone from retail space forever.

I locked this originally because I thought it was too P&N'y for OT. Just keep it to guns and keep the politics out.

Thanks.

Don't worry. If Obama starts throwing around gun bans, I'm sure someone will snap and do us all a huge favor.

This is a WARNING to everyone given the privelege of posting here:

ANYONE issuing a threat against the life of the President of the United States, no matter how veiled, will be booted from these forums for a length commensurate with their threat and reported to the Secret Service.

What are you suggesting, exactly?

I thought all I heard when the ban expired was how silly it was 😕
You go right on ahead thinking the sky is falling and profiteering from it, though.

OP, read the link you posted. It says Obama feels that this issue is best left to state and local governments to decide.

and by the way, P&N is that way->

How can this not be P&N when the OP's thread is due to the new President?

I plan on picking up a reloading press. Ammo prices are getting out of hand. I already have an M4gery and SKS. Wish I could afford more.

Sounds like these prices and shortages are being fueled by paranoia, not by anything Obama has actually done.

EDIT: And ammo costs are because of high commodity prices.

It was a fine line between OT & P&N.

A majority of the post was about buying guns with a little P&N thrown in for flavor so I'm leaving it in thread purgatory..AKA OT.

The prospect of a Democrat controlled congress and a Democratic President have caused guns and ammo to go flying off shelves across the country for moths. The value of my ammo hoard alone has quadrupled.

basically. But his party has a history of passing stupid gun laws and Biden is on record saying that gun owners are crazy.

wrong. metals are low right now. ammo is high because people will still pay for it.

I went to Turners last week with my son and their inventory looked like a gun ban had already been placed. They had hardly any guns!

I remember the same thing happened when Clinton was elected. Yet guns are still available.

I don't want the new administration to reinstate the assault weapons ban or any other new gun laws. I'm a gun owner myself. But I think it's premature to go blaming Obama until he actually signs a bill into law. If that happens, guns and ammo will probably jump in price again, and those price jumps will actually be his fault.

Just lock this again, seems people can't keep their cool (not at you OP, talking bout others)

Isn't the right to bare arms in the original 10 or something?

Some people don't really care what the Constitution says...

As long guns are not fully banned, I do not care too much...I only shoot for fun at the range.

He can't take any action on this without legislation from Congress and the last time the Dems had both houses and the presidency and messed with gun control it resulted in them losing lots of seats.
