Better financial software: Quicken 2003 or Money 2003?

I need to start tracking my finances and I was wondering which software you guys like better, Money or Quicken? Or another piece of software maybe? I'm a student so I don't have much to spend on this and I don't need any heavy duty features so I'm looking at the basic edition of both packages.

All opinions welcome 🙂

I use money, and I used to like it till I upgraded to 2002(I think that was the year) and they made it .net oriented and want you to use the .net passport to integrate with the web. Think I might switch to quicken and give it a try my parents use it and like it.

The newer version are supposed to be horrendously bloated. I would stick with Quicken, seems to be the lesser evil of the 2.

Hmmmm price-wise, Money is much cheaper than Quicken. And in Canada, Intuit moved to some online scheme where you either pay monthly, annually or a ridiculously high one-time fee. I've downloaded Money 2003 and I like it so far. Bloating isn't much of a problem, I've got a fast PC and loads of unused drive space 🙂.

Looks like I'm gonna get Money unless there is something truly spectacular that Quicken has and Money doesn't

i've been using quicken for years and i really hate 2003. it tries to take over your life too much. i just want to enter items intot he register and be able to track some expenses and run some reports. it's overly complex andcrowded if you're new to the quicken scene -- hell even if you've been using quicken for years.

i've been thinking about switching to money, but i don't want to lose years of transactions
