I don't know if this has been shown here or not. If it has, I have not seen it. Credit goes to Last Week Tonight with John Oliver for digging up this gem. Jonathan Banks, aka Mike from Breaking Bad and BCS in a disturbingly creepy sex mis-education film from the 1970s.

Video likely NSFW:

And the full bit from LWTwJO in which Banks makes a cameo right near the end. Also NSFW:

Same, I hate the way AMC drags its heels for every show they air, huge breaks in between. Walking Dead huge MID season hiatus, then Better Call Saul took forever to come around to S2. Same when they milked Breaking Bad's last season into 2 half seasons.

And they split the final season of Hell On Wheels into two 7 episode seasons. Still waiting for the final 7 (probably summer). I hate that crap. Makes me forget it's even going to be on again.

First season started February 8th 2015, new season starts February 15th 2016. How exactly is that AMC dragging their heels?

Yeah saw that. As a big Breaking Bad fan I am sort of torn between wanting to watch it and halfway expecting it to suffer the fate of almost all spinoffs.

eh, just jump in, it's really good. Blame me if you hate it. :p

It was a bit slow the first episode, but the next thing I know "WHAAT? ONLY 10 EPISODES???!?!?!?!"

Almost all shows have a short first season while they see if it's going to work and decide how many episodes to order next season, renew or cancel, but multiple seasons ahead, etc. Breaking Bad and Fear the Walking Dead did it too.

It's not just AMC either: it's why so many shows have a "Volume 1" with seasons 1 & 2 or season 1 + part of season 2 in the same box set (Family Guy, Futurama, Seinfeld, etc). Some just release a super-short 1st season, like The Walking Dead, The Office, etc.

It's pretty much industry standard that the first season of anything is much shorter than renewed seasons with renewed seasons typically having almost 50% more episodes.

Great show! Can't wait for it to start back up again.

I was definitely a bit worried that, as a spin-off, it was going to go the way of most spin-offs and just suck and always have a comparison to the original show. They handle this deftly with BCS, as they thoroughly make it its own show that still has occasional references to the Breaking Bad universe. It doesn't feel like a spin-off at all, and the acting and story direction are perfect for the material.

Looking forward to binging this one. My wife and I were big BB fans but she just couldn't get into BCS (to be fair, I had to practically beg her to stick with BB before she saw its brilliance). So I may have to do this one solo.

I guess they technically aren't, maybe it's because it's only 10 episodes per season that the 9+ month break seems like an eternity.

Nah, just Martin, but they are leaving him in the dust at this point. Not like he's worried about it, though. He's gonna get paid whether he writes another book or not, he he.
