I really didn't like the end of the episode. It was blatent pandering by having a very familiar character from Breaking Bad giving us a surprise appearance at the end. Mike Ehrmantraut was enough. I'd rather have the show try hard to stand on its own two feet rather than have Breaking Bad constantly trying to prop it up.

That's what I got out of it too, but I agree it could have been better explained. When he talked to Chuck he didn't really seem out of his mind, but maybe that's part of the story they'll get into later.

Well they kept mentioning that "he'll get through this" and his psychosis about electromagnetic fields was a pretty big red flag.

See, I thought it should have been the other way around. Using Mike in such a menial role seemed gratuitous. But I liked the ending. We knew going in what the first season was going to be. Where Breaking Bad turned Walter into Heisenberg BCS is going to turn loser Jimmy into criminal lawyer mastermind Saul. There had to be a eureka moment somewhere, the point that pushes Jimmy over to the dark side. Now we know what it is. He's going to weasel out of it, see the money on that side of things and that will change his career path.

Just finished the first episode...I don't know who anybody is or what the heck is going on. I guess I forgot. This was a guy from breaking bad yeah? How long ago was that?

Since some of you have seen another episode or two, how is it? Could I keep watching and figure it out or would I need to go do some research to try and recap? Not sure I'll keep watching if I have to work for it. Doesn't bode well for the ratings either, if average Joe isn't gonna like it. Dunno how many fans there are from the previous show that will be watching, perhaps plenty.

As others have said, you should not be watching *ANY* show until you have seen every single episode of Breaking Bad.

NOW GET BUSY WATCHING. :colbert:

I just skimped through few scenes (waiting for wife to watch).

Wow, similar cinematography & beautiful photography. I saw same artistic portrayals.

This is good. Now I'm even more excited. Same creator- now I know it's not some hack spinoff.

What do you mean constantly? It's been one single episode. One measly hour of a brand new show, and you're claiming it's already CONSTANTLY doing something...

It's pretty good just needs to pick up some more. I wish it was a bit longer too because of how its going. I do like it a lot so far.

LOL at those skateboard brothers trying to scam Saul for $500 for hitting one of them with his piece of junk yellow Suzuki Esteem . :awe:
