Better 2D?

Will the newer geforce 3 cards offer better 2D quality? I have been holding out because of this. Thank you!

the GF3s are usually better than the MX and GTSs, but it isn't a sure thing, it really depends on who makes the card. But the upper level of quality is improved. Might as well get a 8500 instead of a GF3, you know the performance, price and picture will be better.

and why would he know this? am I misunderstanding you, or has he had an 8500 to compare?

anyway, mucker.. the 8500's should be out in a few weeks; wait and ck one out, or read the many reviews which will be available. that way you will know of any hardware issues, etc.

as for gf3, gainwards 2d is at least as good as radeon. I would presume there will be no complaints on the 8500 either, as it has an even better ramdac than the radeon.
