I played this game and liked it. I know its old but what would you compare it to since then. Are there any games similar I should try?

Before that was Betrayal at Krondor but I don't think they were related. Krondor was the shot back in the day.

Can't remember if I had Antara or another one. It was another Betrayal at something game anyway.

I'm nto sure that there ever was anythign else quite like those games.

One of my first first person RPGs, but I didn't like it much. If you like the genre you might try the Lands of Lore games, specifically the first two. Only the first has group combat and both are closer to hack-n-slash, but on an exploration level they're superior. Avoid the third at all costs though.

Heh, I picked up Betrayal at Krondor over the summer. Need to finish that. Sierra gave the game out free so you can legitimately download it.

Overall I had a lot more fun with Might & Magic 6 through 8, and they still run well on Windows XP.
Also liked Ravenloft: Stone Prophet, but that was a DOS game back when CD's were just starting to take hold. I dont know where to find it now and doubt it would run without DOSBox or something similar.

Krondor and Antara are related, both from Raymond Feist. Krondor was bad ass, even though I had to cheat to get through it.

Actually, Antara is not from Feist. Sierra and Feist parted ways and they made Krondor, while Feist teamed with a company called "7th Level" to make "Return to Krondor"
