Beta Test Quicken 2003 for Windows

Why would anyone who has an IQ higher than 60, volunteer to work for free to benefit a for-profit Corporation?

I of course would be willing to test their product, at my standard consultant rate, just like I do for my other corporate clients. You should consider doing the same. And no, you will never get a paying job but starting as free labor.

But the executive keep listening to the bean-counters who keep asking, "why hire competent workers when naive techies (translation: idiots) will work for free?"

I don't mind beta testing a game or software such as Visual Studio .NET where I have fun or learn something from testing. I see no benefit to beta testing Quicken 2003. Even if they gave you a free copy, it is not worth it.

Look, I found the bug that deletes all of my financial history and closes all my accounts!

Somehow, beta testing financial software just doesn't ring my bell.

And what's the deal with quicken coming out with new crap every year. Are they saying there software is only good for a year before it become obsolete and useless?
