Beta test Puzzlepirates - Online RPG

This a fun little game. Basically your a pirate and you do stuff. You can battle other pirates and the neat thing is the battles are fought via puzzle games. Check it out @ puzzlepirates.com. If you decide to play look for me. My character name is "Vagitarian". Did I mention you could do stuff? Weeeeeee!

I tried installing this just to see what it was like, but Norton Anti Virus caught a malicious script while installing. I wouldn't recommend installing this thing.

Sorry, haha, I didn't read much info on it since once I saw the alert for norton, all I was thinking about was quaratining or deleting the script.

Yeah, I had this installed a little while back...looked interesting, I might do it again soon. As for the script, they explain it in the install/readme, I think it has to do with the fact taht the game itself is in java. Or it could really be a malicious virus, who knows.

My virus scanner gives me a malicious script alert over runyo.js?
The first time you run Puzzle Pirates this script simply moves some files around, writes a file, checks some files, checks your registry and runs and runs the game. Unfortunately this seems to trigger some virus scanners, but there's little we can do about that, so you'll have to give it permission to do its business.

We assure you that we have not shipped a malicious script with our game.

If this warning really bothers you we suggest you install Java and then run Puzzle Pirates from the link provided on the play page.
